2016 China Academic Conference on Printing, Packaging Engineering & Media Technology was held

"2016 China Academic Conference on Printing, Packaging Engineering & Media Technology" which is launched by China Academy of Printing Technology, co-hosted by the Printing Technology Association of China, China Academy of Printing Technology, Xi'an University of Technology and Stuttgart Media University, and co-organized by Beijing Key Laboratory of New Technology of Printing and Packaging of China Academy of Printing Technology, Faculty of Printing, Packaging Engineering and Digital Media Technology of Xi’an University of Technology and Printing Technology Professional Committee of Chinese Society for Imaging Science and Technology was held on Nov. 25-27, 2016 in Xi’an, China. The conference consists of the keynote speech, panel discussion and the seminar of graphic arts related majors construction. More than 200 participants from Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, Tianjin University of Science & Technology, South China University of Technology, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Wuhan University, Qilu University of Technology, Zhejiang University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Hunan University of Technology and other 50 related institutions and enterprises took part in the conference.

The Keynote Speech

The keynote speech is hosted by Cao Congjun, the Dean of Faculty of Printing, Packaging Engineering and Digital Media Technology, Xi’an University of Technology and Zhao Pengfei, Vice President of China Academy of Printing Technology. Mr. Liang Yonglin, Executive Vice Chairman of the Printing Technology Association of China and Mr. Zhou Xiaode, President of Xi’an University of Technology gave the address.

In the keynote speech, Prof. Jon Yngve HARDEBERG form Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Prof. Patrick GANE from Aalto University and Prof. Mathias HINKELMANN Vice President from Stuttgart Media University gave the speeches of “Multispectral Colour Imaging: Time to Move out of the Lab?”, “Pore Network Structure and Surface Design: Capturing the Power of Pore-Liquid Interaction for Our Future in Packaging, Printed Functionality and Life Sciences” and “Media Trends: Business Models and Opportunities for Printing Industry”

This conference has received 246 papers and after 3rounds reviewers the conference received 143 papers which will be published in 《Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE) 》 under Springer. Among these papers, the conference selected 15 excellent papers and awarded the authors.

On Nov. 26, more than 230 participates attended the panel discussion of Color Science & Technology, Image Processing Technology, Digital Media & Digital Publishing Technology, Film & Other Functional Material Technology, Packaging Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Intelligent Technology, Printing Engineering Technology, Ink & Related Technology and Paper & Related Technology.

On Nov. 27, more than 60 teachers from more than 20 colleges take part in the seminar of graphic arts related majors construction and the other teachers and students went to the Weinan 3D Printing Industry Training Base to have a look at the new 3D printing technology. On the afternoon, all of the participants went to the Engineering Training Center of Xi’an University of Technology.
