2024 Academic Conference on Digital Media Grandly Opens in Hangzhou!!

On July 15, the 2024 Academic Conference on Digital Media officially kicked off in Hangzhou.The conference was co-hosted by the China Academy of Printing Technology, Hangzhou Dianzi University, and Keyin Media · Printing Technology Journals Press, organized by the Editorial Department of Printing and Digital Media Technology Study and and School of Media and Design of Hangzhou Dianzi University, co-organized by 29 domestic universities and colleges related to digital media.

The academic conference included a main report session, four parallel thematic sessions, and a visit and exchange session. More than 120 delegates from over 30 universities, research institutions and enterprises attended the event.

Opening Ceremony

Feng Ying, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Media and Design of Hangzhou Dianzi University hosted the opening ceremony on July 15. Qian Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hangzhou Dianzi University,Chang Xiaoxia,Vice Chairman of the China Printing Technology Association,Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Cultural Industry Development Group Co., Ltd. attended the conference and addressed.

Keynote Speech

Professor Wang Yigang, Dead of School of Media and Design, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Liu Yiping, Chairman and General Manager of Beijing Keyin Media Culture Co., Ltd. respectively hosted the keynote speech on July 15. Professor Geng Weidong from College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University, Professor Huang Xinyuan from School of Animation and Digital Arts, Communication University of China, Professor Wang Yigang from School of Media and Design of Hangzhou Dianzi University, Professor Liu Yuan from School of Artificial Intelligence andComputer Science(School of Software) of Jiangnan University, Professor Xu Gang from School of Computer Science of Hangzhou Dianzi University, Professor Huai Yongjian from School of Information Science and Technology of Beijing Forestry Universy, Professor YANG Xubo from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively made a keynote report entitled “Generative AI & Creative Media” “Thinking and Practice of Digital Media Talent Training” “A Survey of 3D Display Technologies” “The Impact of Multidirectional Text Typography on Text Readability in Word Clouds” “Modeling, Simulation and Optimization for Generative Intelligent Design” “Future Digital Technology Development and Interdisciplinary under the Background of Metaverse and ChatGPT” “Immersive Interactive Space Merging Virtual and Reality”

Award Ceremony

On the afternoon of 15th, Award Ceremony of 2024 China Academic Conference on Digital Media was hosted by Xu Min, Editor-in-Chief of Printing and Digital Media Technology Study. Authors for Excellent Paper of ACDM2024 were commended. A thank you card was awarded for co-sponsors in the award ceremony. Leaders of the organizer presented the honorary certificates to the winners.

Visit the Virtual Simulation Laboratory at Hangzhou Dianzi University

The participating delegates, led by Professor Wang Yigang and Associate Professor Li Shi from Hangzhou Dianzi University, visited the Virtual Simulation Laboratory of the university. They experienced immersive demonstrations of research achievements including virtual exhibition hall design, blockchain shared ledger system, and virtual try-on system. They also engaged in in-depth exchanges with relevant faculty members on research topics, achievements, and experimental equipment, exploring the feasibility of scientific research resource sharing and collaborative projects.
